South Bay High School's workability program provides work related training, student jobs, and practice in community life functioning in order to access and participate in community activities and resources. Our Workability students enjoyed an ocean safety day. L.A. County Fire Department Life Guards taught our students about safe, healthy and appropriate water based activities including kayaking and surfing.
Research shows that students who participate in horse riding experience physical, emotional and mental rewards. Our students enjoy horseback riding and find it to be therapeutic. The unique relationship that forms between horse and rider has led to an increase of confidence, patience and self-esteem.
