We began SBHG in 1987 with a dream and a passion to provide state-of-the-art mental health treatment to children and adults using the best elements of counseling, psychotherapy, and professional management.

We wanted to create state-of-the-art treatment that was based on elements that worked in all of the various mental health fields (this was before the terms "best practices" and "evidence based treatment"). We wanted to provide diverse clinical approaches yielding a huge range of services that would address all possible client issues and needs. And finally, we wanted to have a total quality improvement approach that would mean we were always improving and always striving for the best possible services and care.

Throughout the years, helping clients and staff grow was always the number one priority in this company. We care about our clients and look for unique ways to provide "whatever is needed" while remaining cost-effective. Our staff are part of the family, and we are committed to providing them supervision, support, and opportunity for growth.

Today it amazes me to see how our company has evolved from our early vision and plans. Most exciting yet is where that vision will be taking us in the next few years.
