Tony Beltran, MBA, has joined Stars Behavioral Health Group (SBHG), one of California’s largest providers of behavioral health and other human services, as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He will oversee operations across California with 70 programs in 61 locations. He will work closely with SBHG President and CEO Kent Dunlap and will participate in governance as a member of the SBHG Board of Directors.
Mr. Beltran has more than 30 years of experience in leading organizations providing behavioral and physical healthcare and other human services. Most recently, he served as the President and CEO of the Pittsburgh Mercy Health System, an organization focused on providing services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and people experiencing homelessness. He has also served as Executive Director of the Lake County (Illinois) Health Department and Community Health Center. He is originally from Stockton, having grown up in Novato.
Mr. Beltran will help advance the mission of the company to serve those most in need who face emotional, behavioral and learning challenges.
