One Stop TAY Center

One Stop TAY Center

A warm, welcoming place where young adults can find support & services

Late adolescence and early adulthood can be a period of excitement, uncertainty, risk-taking and resilience for many young people – Transition Age Youth or TAY. The Valley Star Community Services One Stop TAY Center in Morongo Basin is a warm, welcoming, and safe place where TAY can seek counseling and can access an array of supportive mental health, substance abuse, employment and educational services. Located in Yucca Valley, the TAY One Stop helps young adults ages 16-25 focus on their goals for employment and career, community life functioning, educational opportunities, and living situations. Amenities like showers, laundry, phone and internet services are also available on site. In addition to a staff of licensed and experienced professionals, the One Stop TAY Center employs peer mentors who are dedicated to helping other young people become confident and independent. The center provides numerous services to assist youth in areas such as:

  • Developing community living skills
  • Recovery from substance abuse
  • Feeling empowered in their lives
  • Developing supportive relationships
  • Identifying and accessing community resources
  • Obtaining and maintaining safe, stable housing
  • Employment and career goals
