Morongo Basin Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC)
Providing immediate access to mental health services in the Morongo Basin
The Crisis Walk‑In Center (CWIC—pronounced “quick”) provides 24/7 crisis stabilization services for individuals in the Morongo Basin and surrounding areas. CWIC serves people of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, who are experiencing a life crisis and need immediate mental health support. As an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, emergency room visits, or incarceration, the CWIC offers a safe and supportive environment for short‑term care and stabilization. The center is open 24 hours a day, accepts voluntary walk‑ins, and allows stays of up to 23 hours. The CWIC can support up to 12 individuals at a time and plays a vital role in easing the strain on local hospitals and law enforcement, while ensuring individuals in crisis receive timely, compassionate care.
