Common questions about the TAY Hot Spot
QUESTION: Who can come here?
ANSWER: Any Star View client in the TAY age range – age 15/16 to 24
QUESTION: How do you get a young person in?
ANSWER: It can be arranged through the client’s primary worker. There will be an orientation at the Hot Spot every Friday so the client’s primary therapist can call the group coordinator at (310) 436-9300 and “enroll” their client in the orientation.
QUESTION: What days is the TAY Hot Spot open?
ANSWER: Tuesday through Saturday
QUESTION: Is there a cost?
ANSWER: Where services are billable, they will be billed as any other service we provide. Other than that there is no cost.
QUESTION: How is this funded?
ANSWER: Through our regular contract monies.
QUESTION: How many youths can you take?
ANSWER: Each group and activity will have a maximum number that can attend but there will be many different opportunities and we believe there will be room for clients that wish to be involved.
QUESTION: Can young people invite their friends who are not clients?
ANSWER: Not generally. This is designed for Star View clients.
QUESTION: What is Star View Community Services and TEAMMATES’ connection?
ANSWER: These are two separate programs under the Stars Behavioral Health Group corporate umbrella.
