LA County Crisis Residential Treatment Programs

Welcome to the LA County CRTPs

Three Stars Behavioral Health Group subsidiary organizations have opened and are now running nine Los Angeles County Crisis Residential Treatment Centers (CRTPs). These new 16-bed facilities, developed by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, are designed for adults dealing with mental health challenges or a recent crisis who need intensive treatment. Los Angeles County has selected our organization to operate nine facilities across four sites, for a total of 144 patient beds that will serve 2,500 clients per year.

The 24/7 programs are an alternative to urgent care or hospitalization. Individuals live on-site in a homelike setting for a short term while they receive counseling and learn basic living and interpersonal skills. They receive physical and psychological evaluation, mental health and case management services, in addition to assistance locating permanent housing. They are given supportive services to remain stable and successfully transition back to community living.

Client Success Stories

“I first want to say thank you to all the staff here, for everything you have done for us. From talking to us one to one if we’re feeling down, giving us medication so we have our head on straight, and providing resources for us when we leave this place. Second, I want to thank all my peers that I have gotten to know over these past weeks through doing groups together and having fun or on a personal level though hearing about your stories. I will always cherish those memories I have made with everyone.”
Katia, Coastal Star CRT
